Well my appointment was at 7:30am. My car wasn’t ready until 3:30. All I needed was an oil change and windshield wipers. I tried to contact my service rep multiple times for an update but it would go to voicemail every time. I eventually just called the service center and was able to get an answer. I can understand that things get busy and you get behind. But the lack of communication was disappointing. This review is coming from an individual that loathes car shopping. It is unequivocally the worst thing to do and so glad it is infrequent but VW of Alamo Heights did a solid job. The entire car buying experience with them took 90 minutes from arrival to departure. Cameron at the dealership listened, acted then delivered. Car buying should be like that all the time so kudos to VW of Alamo Heights and Cameron in Sales.
The Employees were so nice, everyone was eager to help us with our questions…we will probably go back to keep our VW Taos in tip top shape…
I was concerned with a low coolant light that there could be a possible leak. I was late to my appointment but my servíce rep understood and gave me a fantastic experience, even having the technician explain the inspection and new coolant requirements to me. The service and customer experience was first-class and I’ll be back.
They do a very good job in assessing and fixing problems as well as routine services
I had a really great buying experience here. Andy took care of me from the moment we shook hands at the door when I arrived until the time we drove my new Buzz off the lot. Easy and a LOT less hassle than way too many other dealerships out there. The price shown on the Website is the price I paid for the vehicle for the exact vehicle that I wanted - imagine that! No unnecessary add-ons that made me walk away from a lot of other places.
I was upset because i was asked for a complimentary wash and there was no wash. They didn't take off my oil change maintenance light off. I also was not told if my car needed other service's. Was expecting so much more since someone recommended me take it there. Also when booking the service online it showed mon -sat 1-4 pm you get a ten percent discount and it didn't show on her end she still gave itto me but its annoying that on my end it showed and on their end it didn't.
Was able to diagnose my vehicle and fix it within a timely manner. Very impressed with what they do at this dealership.
good service, bad at communication. did not let me know when my car was done. i had to keep calling to get an update on my car.
I have a pretty good experience here, the wait times can be a bit long but they keep you in the loop.

I had a great experience with my sales person Pharoah Dickens he was professional and very knowledgeable and helped me through the whole process.
Some employees are helpful while others not so much. Had the dealership top off my coolant before a trip and got stranded because they did not close the lid properly. Had to purchase a temporary coolant out of town and upon return to VWAH dealership had to get a 2x flush service to replace the universal coolant I had to purchase. While the service attendant was able to get me a discount on the service, this error was 100% on VW dealership. Today I returned for an oil change and had an appointment to see first available. Great customer service and punctual to start, and expectation of competing the service. Friendly and helpful employees.
I get general maintenance done at Alamo Heights VW, but when I had an emergency repair on late on a Friday afternoon they were able to get me in within an hour of calling and got me out before closing. Their service is top notch and worth the drive wherever you are in the city.

Went in for oil change, shopped around and got a coupon, get a penny saved is a penny earned. When we arrived at dealer Leilani checked us in and informed us that we had one more warranty covered service with zero out of pocket. It’s great to do business at a place where they give you all the info and at the same time save you $$. The service was great, the atmosphere very pleasant. Leilani in the service department is great at what she does! She kept me informed and even had my vehicle washed before pick up. I need to give a huge shout out to Ken and Malcom in the parts department! Thanks to those guys, I was able to get 406,400 miles out the original original engine on my 2019 Jetta. I took my 2024 VW Atlas for an A/C problem, Crystal did take care of it. Crystal was very profesional keeping me updated on the vehicle status. Krystal is the person you want to take care of your vehicle.
Roselyn was my service technician. She did an excellent job of explaining everything and was very helpful. My car was ready in under 2 hours. Everything went very well.

Very helpful and friendly! Tim and Mark were the best! They helped my husband and I get into new cars. They worked with us and were able to meet most, if not all, our requirements for getting new cars. I didn’t feel pushed or rushed into a sale. I brought my VW in for a weird noise inspection at Alamo Heights. Leilani grabbed my info upfront—even though she wasn’t my advisor—and made sure everything was spot-on. Since I purchased my 2015 Passat, they have provided outstanding service after the sale, each and every visit since service Mgr David Serna all the way to the current lovely Ashley Russell, service manager. Outstanding customer service is their default setting.
I am appreciative of the professionalism and attentiveness displayed, no matter who the contact is with at VW. I am especially appreciative of Leilani who continues to go above and beyond. She makes the process from drop off to pickup, so very convenient!!
Saleswoman was very personable and helpful. Car was in good shape as well, and they went out of their way to make sure everything was prepared before we arrived. Whole thing would have taken like 20 or 30 minutes tops if not for a finance hiccup that was our fault. The dealership itself needed some TLC (some ceiling tiles were gross, chairs and tables wobbly, etc.) but aside from that everything was good.
Everyone at Volkswagen of Alamo Heights were very attentive and friendly. They took care of my oil change without delays and kept me informed throughout the process!

I have been a loyal customer of this dealership for years. Even when I lived in Austin, I would still come here because the service was consistently high quality. I have spent thousands of dollars here and have trusted this location with nearly all of my vehicle's maintenance.
Unfortunately, my most recent visit was very disappointing and did not reflect the level of service I have come to expect. My experience at Volkswagen of Alamo Heights was tremendous! I would highly recommend them for servicing your vehicle.
I just got my vehicle diagnosed and accepted the quote to fix it. After paying $700 my check engine light is back on after driving less than 20 miles away with it. After opening the hood, the oil is still leaking (the problem they apparently fixed). I’ll be taking it back tomorrow and hope they do the right thing and fix my vehicle without trying to charge me more money.
Went for first service (10K) on my 2025 Tiguan. Easy booking online. Leilani helped me when I arrived, waited at the dealership until my service was done. Took 1.5 hours. Quick check-in and check-out. Overall, great experience with Leilani.
4 1/2 for oil change -they refused to filed a claim on my wheels

On this day I walked into the dealership with the hopes of leaving with a reliable and safe vehicle. Jon sold me the vehicle and Robert approved the purchase. I left the dealership, and within 4-6 miles the car began to make a dragging sound. I pulled over at the VIA station and seen that my cars belly pan was dragging, cause the car to drive poorly. Crystal from service was amazing. However I went in for oil change and they told me my brakes were bad. I purchased my car on the 31 Oct. 2025. So they basically sold me a car with bad brakes. I asked to speak to sales manager and he never bothered to speak with me . So I ended up paying for brakes . Wish I would’ve known the brakes were bad before I purchased car.

I visited the dealership for my first oit change,and although I had an appointment, I stated there for over1.5 hrs., which I think it was a bit excessive.

I took it in to get it fixed, but at same time they broke my cruise control and now I have to waste my time in taking bck to get that fixed. Not happy that they were not careful when they fixed my air bag.

I've been coming here for a while. I think they're great. I did have a Saturday appt Jan. 2 at 1:45. I was surprised when I was told it would be 2 hrs. It had taken maybe an hour ea. time before. It ended up taking 3 hrs and 15 min. They also didn't have my air filter (VW) in stocks. My service manager, Roselyn, came through for me in a MAJOR way, however! I'll just remember to not schedule appts. on Saturday.

Came to dealer for oil change which usually takes more than 2 hours this time only 1hr and 15min. So some improvement from last year. Only issue was my car was not washed while I noticed other vehicles washed. Now I’m driving around with writing on my back window. Looking tacky and embarrassing highlighting my dirty car
